Portuguese cork · since 1987

Cork's natural resistance to moisture, fungi and insects makes it a strong fit for garden applications. As a mulch, coarse cork granulates suppress weed growth while retaining soil moisture better than wood chips.

As edging, agglomerated cork blocks resist freeze-thaw cycling without splitting and contain none of the copper-based preservatives used in pressure-treated timber.
