MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD

Founded in 1987, by a family with an industrial cork background, the company Dimas & Silva Lda emerged from the entrepreneurial spirit of the founding partners Dimas Manuel Alves and António Júlio Silva. With distinct areas of intervention associated to the knowledge of the raw-material, production and management, it was possible to leverage a sustainable business until today.

Over the years, the company has responded to the challenges presented by the market, following a policy of constant evolution and adaptation to emerging opportunities. The continuous investment in technology and infrastructure has enabled the placement of high quality products on the market in an innovative and competitive way.

The search for new business areas led, in 2001, to the acquisition of the company Oliveira Alves Irmãos Lda. In 2004, there was an opportunity to invest in new industrial premises, allowing the modernization of the previous industrial unit and production of natural cork blocks.

Rigour, transparency and ambition are part of our way of being and working. The world is constantly changing. Flexibility and rapid response are fundamental. The new generations are embracing this mission, responding to the present with an eye to the future.
